DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
The Message of Divine Mercy is one of love, and trust, and surrender… to the Risen Lord, whereupon by turning towards the Prince of Peace we will find that perfect peace in our lives for which we long so much… 🕊🕊🕊

SANDIAH HOUSE HANDOVER CEREMONY
On the 13th of March, members of the Sandiah family generously handed over their historical family home in Shallcross to the Archdiocese of Durban as a heartfelt donation gratefully accepted by Archbishop Jwara CMM.
The Archbishop emphasized the appreciation of the Archdiocese for the family's donation, and reflected on how the early Christian community was full of those who freely shared what they had and so helped to support the Church in its mission and ministry.
The Archdiocese of Durban is deeply grateful to the Sandiah family and all our benefactors, who have given so much over the years, and continue to give so generously, helping to contribute to the work of the Church in our part of the world.
The mission team has begun parish missions starting from Stanger/Shakaskraal parishes and all the outstations.
The team made up of two priests Fr Desmond Royappen and Fr Allan Moss and two sisters, Sr Princess and Sr Jane Francis from the Matikwe convent visited every parishioner’s home, conducted training and formation of all lay ministries and a preached mission.
Huge crowds came every day!!!
Many who have been away from the sacraments for a long time renewed their faith and returned to the church. The next mission starting this weekend is Tongaat parish and its outstations.
Brothers and sisters, two very important communications from Archbishop Jwara CMM and Bishop Zondi.
The first concerns the 2024 Mission and the second concerns the response to Fiducia Supplicans and political campaigning at parish churches.
The Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference have issued a Pastoral Letter, together with a prayer for elections, calling on eligible voters “to keep working for a better future.”
Our Archbishop Jwara CMM with the delegates of the IARCCUM Conference being held in Rome and Canterbury.
We pray for greater cooperation between the Anglican Communion and our Catholic Church, that unity among Christians may become a witness to our common faith in Christ Jesus this 2024.
The Archdiocese of Durban would like to announce the following on the formation of the Ikhwezi Foundation.

OUR LADY – PRAY FOR US

According to the wishes of His Grace, Archbishop Jwara CMM, please would all visitors to this site and all clergy/parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Durban pray for a peaceful resolution to the Middle Eastern Conflict as well as to the conflict in Eastern Europe (Russia/Ukraine). We implore the aid of Our Lady to bring leaders of nations to the negotiating table, and to turn the hearts of all men towards reconciliation.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

From this moment I entrust these initiatives to the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, asking her to sustain our efforts and those of humanity in order to achieve peace.

We ask you, Queen of Peace,
to help us respond with the power of truth and love
to the new and unsettling challenges of the present moment.
Help us also to pass through this difficult period,
that disturbs the serenity of so many people,
and to work without delay to build every day and everywhere
a genuine culture of peace.
