SAHARA KINGSMEAD CRICKET STADIUM
Cardinal Wilfrid Napier OFM will be celebrating four milestone anniversaries this year (40 years as Priest; 30 years as Bishop; 10 years as Cardinal and his 70th birthday). The Archdiocese of Durban will be celebrating this joyous occasion on Sunday 31st July 2011 at the Sahara Kingsmead Cricket Stadium with a Mass of Thanksgiving. Guests will include all the Bishops of Southern Africa, about 150 Priests and Deacons, religious Sisters and lay people from all parishes in the Archdiocese. Mass will begin at 10h30 and everyone is asked to be seated at 10h00. A light meal will be served after the Mass and we suggest that parishioners bring a picnic lunch as well.
SEMINAR IN SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
This course is an introduction to the meaning and dynamics of the spiritual direction relationship and some of the underlying issues such as discernment, prayer and cross-cultural experience. Participants will work in “triads” to gain practical experience in spiritual direction. The course will be led by Sue Rakoczy IHM and is open to clergy, religious and laity.
