To help Christians prepare for Lent and the South African elections, the Jesuit Institute has produced daily reflections called ‘A Revolution of the Spirit’.
From today these are now available as a Smartphone app that can be downloaded – FOR FREE! – and read on a Blackberry, Lumia, i-phone, i-pad or Android phone or tablet.
If you have a Smartphone please try this out. And please recommend it by email, Facebook, Twitter and word-of-mouth to others who might enjoy it, especially young people.
For all phones/ tablets go to http://www.jesuitinstitute.org.za/lentapp and download from there.
Or for Android go to Google Play store and search for Lent Reflections South Africa.
(Note that you will be asked to create a login and password – these can be whatever you want).
In the reflections, Fr Anthony Egan SJ connects the Biblical journey of the Israelites from slavery to freedom with South Africa’s own history of liberation – the first democratic elections 20 years ago and the challenges of this year’s elections. Have we, he asks, reached the Promised Land?
Meantime, the book on which the App is based is now on its 4th print run and is selling well across the country. Copies are available for R60 – contact us for more information. email@example.com
